School Board Approves Fitness Center Agreement
School Board Approves Fitness Center Agreement

During the regular school board meeting held on September 11, 2019 the Board approved the Usage Applicant and Agreement form.  The agreement form is specifically designed for the Fitness Center.  Previously, patrons buying a membership to use the facility only had to pay the membership fee and collect their key fob.  The new form was a recommendation by the School Attorney at KSB Law Firm in Lincoln to help clarify and resolve some potential risk issues the district could encounter.  It covers two specific areas: release/waiver and specific supervision responsibilities for minors under the age 19.  Even though the new agreement form was passed in September, it will be phased-in in January 2020 as memberships are renewed and thereafter with new memberships.  Starting January 2020, the current key fob will no longer work as upgrades to the doors and locking mechanism will take place.  Individuals with a current membership will need to come to the school office to 1) renew a membership, 2) complete and sign the agreement form, and 3) get a new key fob.  The form is available on the school website under documents, fitness center folder, for patrons to review, print, and complete before coming to the school office to renew a membership.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office at 402.482.5233.
