gym floor

Patrons of Chambers Public Schools,

As many of you know, Chambers Public Schools has been blessed with a generous donation from Chambers State Bank, along with support from others, to completely replace our 60+ year-old gym floor.

To fund much of this project through donations, the floor removal will be done by volunteers (age 18 and older) from our community who have graciously offered their time to cut the floor into pieces. This generous act will save the school upwards of $15,000 in labor and disposal costs. It also presents a unique opportunity to salvage and repurpose almost the entire gym floor.

Our shop program will be using portions of the floor for student projects and future fundraising efforts for years to come.

In addition, Chambers Public Schools will be selling pieces of the old floor to raise funds for other much-needed upkeep projects—such as painting, new mats, and protective upgrades. Larger custom pieces may be available upon request. If you’re interested in owning a piece of CPS history for your next countertop, workbench, table, accent wall, or any number of creative ideas, please contact: Jamie Tomjack at 402-336-6363.

A sample piece will be on display at the Village Market and 95 West.

We’re also looking for volunteers on June 8 at 1:00 P.M. to help carry the floor pieces out of the gym.

Thank you for your continued support of our school, our students, and our community.

Sincerely,

The Chambers School Board
