Homecoming festivities include a lip sync battle. Coronation will be held after the football game to allow for social distancing.
This summer a number of Chambers FFA students took part in virtual State FFA events. Each team and participant did very well and we're all looking forward to making it back to state in many events again this year.
Not every participant get ribbons in an event and too have this many students ribbon and teams and students place high is a job well done! The results are as follows:
Agriscience Team (Karina, Wyatt, and Kade): Red Team ribbon
Individual blue ribbon: Karina and Wyatt.
Individual white ribbon: Kade
Environmental & Natural Resources Team (Logan, Kassidy, Faith, and Chase): Blue Team Ribbon and top 10 team finish
Individual Purple: Logan who also placed 5 in the state!!

An update for the Burwell Cross Country Meet:
There is road construction on the west end of Highway 96, if you are coming from the west you can expect 15 to 20 minute delays, teams coming from the east should not experience any delays.
We are asking teams and spectators to social distance whenever possible, masks are recommended but are not required.
Reminder, the Board Budget Work Session is scheduled for tonight at 8 pm in the gym. Social distancing is encouraged.

Due to an increase of COVID cases in area schools that has placed large numbers of students in quarantine or closed the school, Chambers, starting on Wednesday, August 26 will require all individuals in the building to wear a face covering for the next 8 school days. This measure is to keep students and staff safe while keeping them in the best learning environment. Masks will be distributed to all students and staff.

The Cross-Country meet scheduled for Thursday, August 27 in Burwell will begin at 10:00 AM. The order of events will be; HS girls, HS boys and then junior high.
Updated policy for Jamboree game at O'Neill on Tuesday, August 24th:
Volleyball Specific
• Teams will not switch benches between sets
• There will be a designated area in the bleachers for masks and no masks. Please sit in your preferred location, do not go to the other section, and maintain proper social distancing.
• Locker rooms will be disinfected prior to your arrival.
• Concessions will be provided
• Each team bench will have a marked off space that no fans will be allowed to be in.
• All elementary aged students are expected to sit with their parents/guardians. They will not be allowed to be in the hallways except when going to the restroom or concessions.
• No crock pots or meals will be allowed to be served to the players. They may have a grab and go type meal that they can eat on their bus.
• No fans will be allowed inside the basketball court following a game. We ask that everyone leave the facility as soon as the final game is done.
